Meta & Microsoft Mesh

Meta and Microsoft have made significant strides in accelerating enterprise adoption of immersive technology since July. Microsoft re-engineered Mesh to use Teams' communication infrastructure, eliminating the need for corporate firewall adjustments. In July, they integrated their open AI into Mesh, and by September 4th, they expanded multi-room capacity from 200 to 330 attendees. Meta followed with the launch of the Meta Quest 3S at a £300 price point, making scalable adoption more accessible. This month, Microsoft introduced a guest feature for Mesh, allowing users to join from any domain, with whiteboarding collaboration coming in November.
